Meet Ken Villard

My journey as a notary started off as a signing agent. A signing agent is basically a notary that specializes in the notarization of loan documents for real estate transactions.

I quickly realized there was a need in the market for convenient notarizations and that's why I decided to make my services available online.

You can find me on NNA or Snapdocs. Both are trusted platforms for registered notaries.

An intro to Remote Online Notarization.

As of January 2025, the majority of U.S. states have enacted laws permitting Remote Online Notarization (RON). However, a few states still do not allow their notaries to perform RON:

• Delaware: State notaries cannot perform RON, but individuals and businesses can utilize remote notaries from states where RON is permitted.

• District of Columbia: Does not allow any form of remote online notarization at this time.

• Georgia: Temporary authorization for RON has expired, and permanent legislation has not been enacted.

• North Carolina: Does not allow its notaries to perform RON but does not prohibit the use of notaries commissioned in other states.

It's important to note that while these states do not permit their own notaries to conduct RON, they often recognize notarizations performed by remote notaries commissioned in other states where RON is authorized.

Given the evolving nature of notary laws, it's advisable to consult the latest information from your state's notary regulatory authority or the National Notary Association to ensure compliance with current regulations.

How will the process work?

We will need to get your information entered into proof.com through a link that I will send after you send me your info.

We will need to upload your I.D. for verification, then we well upload the document.

I will then hop on the platform and perform the notarization on a live call with you present.

Once completed, you will be prompted to pay. Once you are done with payment, you will receive a copy of your notarized document in your preferred email.
